Ash - Evil Dead 2

This is a large diorama of Ash from Evil Dead II.

The sculpt is by Wicked.

I made this for a friend who lives across the country. I tried to use magnets wherever possible to make packing easier. It was my first time using them, and a few ideas didn’t pan out. For example, I added magnets to the wall, but it was too heavy to stand and had to be permanently attached. The heads worked, as did the possessed deer.

I took one major liberty with the paint. In the film, the deadites are mostly flesh-toned, but I went with a blue‑gray instead to contrast the heavy wood tones.

It survived shipping better than I expected. Only the chainsaw blade broke off, and that was an easy superglue fix.
