FPS Game Test

This is an experiment to learn how to make a simple FPS game. I don't play many, and have never written one, so I was curious to see what it would take to build one from scratch.

Since finishing the Cosmic Key, I've been taking a break from 3D printing. It's been too cold to run the resin printer anyway.

So in that time I've been building several simple prototype projects: a 2d platformer, a top-down twin stick shooter, a 2.5d platformer, and now this FPS test.

My goal is not a polished FPS. Instead, I am trying to make something that feels fun to play. Feel free to give it a try and let me know what you think.

I built this game for the desktop, but to make it easier for people to try I have uploaded a web export. I had to disable a lot of graphics options, but the gameplay itself is unaffected.

In this game you simply run around and shoot the targets. The game ends when all targets are destroyed. It will report the number of shots fired and the elapsed time.

I was aiming for intuitive controls, so I'm not going to be listing them here. If you're familiar with FPS games and cannot figure out the controls, that's a failure on my part and I'd appreciate some feedback to help me address it.

Mouse/keyboard and controllers are supported.
